Back with Zidean art works!

This week, I'll come back with some other ark works from Zidean. As I said, If you have time, you should visit that webpage and take a look, cuz there is so much useful and valuable things which you can find for yourself.
The last pic, which I like best is actually a photograph. I like for the yelow of the past, mix with the brown of te earth. It's the idea itself makes the picture more interesting.

The Last Race: Kame vs Rappie

This is the interface of our final flash project. Base on an old folk story about the race between the rabbit and the turtle, we created this flash story. Those two characters are Kame - the turtle and Rappie - The Rabbit. We are manually draw everything by hand and then use photoshop, adobe Illustrator to edit them. In fact, I really like Kame 'cuz he looks so kool and a litte bit mean. We have to make 3 option for our flash which will lead the user to different direction of the story. I enjoy doing it very much. How do you guys think about our flash charecters ^ ^"

Welcome to the world of Illusion!

These are the picture which are used for desktop wallpapers. It is well designed with colors and lights. Take a look at them now and open up your imagination. The first picture lead tou to another world, where is trees are hands, waiting to for some, and there is no alive creature.
In the second picture, looks like that creature is created by blood. The red color with sharp teeth make him a lot more scary!
The third picture: The lonely hero BATMAN in gotham city. Very creative when they use only black and white. The dark cloud well stand for evils thing in that city which make the picture more misery!

The Water Fire!

Have you ever seen an fire that is converted into water, and water is a supersede for fire? Those wonderful images can open up your mind. Such a very very creative works, and for the idea aslo. I can say no word for this because whoever the author is, he is a genius ^ ^" His photoshop skill is awesome. The water look so real and the picture is nice focus. How do you feel when you look at these picture? Wanna a cup of water of wondering how can you cook you food huh =))

Zidean Art: A Place for Creative Designer!

This is a very interesting place for designers to learn and exchange their experiences with others. I'm a member of this webpage http://www.zidean.com for about 1 years, and I've learn alot of useful thing there. If you have free time, visit this webpage, and you can search for amazing things. You can learn how to do Photoshop, how to make flash, etc with useful tutorials there. Moreover, most of them are young designers, so they are willing to spend time doing, making, and creating what their heart telling to do. They are aslo willing to help you when you in trouble making something. And here are some of their art works which I very like.

Those are really beautiful and meaningful pictures, and I find it quite interesting.

1st Picture: There is a fire and that man is holding a can, but he can't stop it although the ground is filled with water. He is totally shock, and he just can stand there, watching the fire and can not do anything. Feelling competely useless. That scence is terrble but somehow so beautiful!

2nd Picture: It is so alike with Sky-Lattern party in RMIT. We have the same celebration in our school, and that is just so wonderful.

3rd Picture: Just feel, and you will see the hidden beauty in this picture. How that little boy gives strength for that man! To me, it's a miracle!

My Book Cover!

And this is my Book Cover. I like Black & White color alot, so I decided to make it my decisive color. There are diffirences between the back(white) and the front (black) but somehow they are related to each other by the lines. The image which I make is really simple. In this book, we are talking about design something real, something exist in the real world, not the affected manners. So the Black Mouse ( stand for desgin process) reflex through a mirror and become a different White Mouse is what I wanna talk about. We must not design such thing, must make it real ...

My BookCover's Inspiration!

Those are my most favourite book cover. They are well designed and very creative. The way they use contrast color, or arrange the text is very interesting. There are connections between texts and images which I like it a lots. As you can see, how the back of the book is link with the front in the first image. And the "How to play Black jack for a living" book is design as a real card, or "Babek" book is rumple ^.^ Hope that U all enjoy it!

SaiGon Open City ---> What's after a meeting!

I were lucky enough to visit the meeting of all the artists in a show located at Sai Gon Open City in Ton Duc Thang Dist on last Monday. Togerther with my friends, I were really excited and looking for that day to come. Just imagine a meeting with many excellent artist came from many places in the world ( Thai lan, Korea, Japan, China, etc), and the audiences could ask about their creative processes, their source of inspirations drove me crazy. I couldn't wait no more.
So the day has come and I came to the show. A litlle dissapointed swiftly pass through as I were passing each room. The air was so hot, and there're plenty of people who were talking out loud. The show rooms were so small and narrow. And then came the most important things: The press conference!
As the artist talking about the show, and how they've come with their ideas, how they managed to make everything possible, and turned their thoughts become true there were something unpredictable happened. When Mr.Tuan asked some of his questions, he blew up the whole room. I myself in some point totally agree with him. First: Vietnam is a big city, and there can't be not enough qualified people who can teach how to hang art works, how to light, frame, etc. Second: There were alot of succesful festival in Vietnam (especially in Hue, Sai Gon, Da Nang, Ha Noi). And it means that the gorverment is not strict or prohibit the art show. They couldn't get the license on time were their fault, or their inexperiences about the operation! ----> Those kind of trouble about license, places to organize the show are the first matter that we must concern about. Third: When the manager ( Mrs Hanh???) answered the question, I could tell that she was really upset. "I don't care, we can't ask for more, etc" ----> Those are the words wise people do not speak in such situation. She should calmdown and find appropriate words to
ease the problem.
I were really impressed by the Thai curator. He could clearly explain their creative processes, how they encouter problems and solve them. He is calm, wise, and smart, I think!
What I can get from that meeting is a bunch of troublesome problems and I can learn from that alots. How to operate things, how to ask foreign artist to join the show, how to coop with the government, how to spend a very small budget on a very big project, how to solve the problems when things go wrong, etc. I think the meeting is worthy!

Animation Vs. Animator

I just have 1 word for this flash: Amazing. In Dim1, we are getting familiar with this concept: Stick Figure. But now, just take a look at this flash and see how can they created such amazing flash with simple things. I love those movement of that stick man. Moreover, the icons which we see everyday now turn into something real, it can fight back, it can be consumed, or tear into pieces. That author has brought life into his animation. Enjoy it, my friends!

Our world!

This week I came up with some pictures about our world. Just look at them and we will understand how crazy and chaos this world we are living in. Natural calamity such as hurricane, volcano happen time after time. Just see how terrible and powerful those calamity are. I decided to post these pictures because in our lives, we can hardly see it. And these pictures containt both violent and beauty, destructive and seductive, I think!

Roney Matthew's fantansy world!

Now, my friends, let close your eyes and I'll take you to Roney Matthew's fantansy world. In this world, anything can happend, and it depends on your imagination. How far can your mind fly, and how long can it last. In that world, there are huge bugs,wierd animals and the statue of liberty which is differently rebuild. Your illusion is the key to power, and everything will obey your command. :) How do it feels to live in such world??? ^ ^"
I really like this surrealistic alternate reality style, with many details. I can't stop looking at them time and time again. Whenever I look at those pictures, feel like I'm flying, my mind is floating. How about you?

Luis Royo ---> Warriors of Fantansy!!!

Luis Royo is one of the most famous name in creating warriors in term of fantansy. Let me introduce to you some of his excellent art works. I'm one of his fan in this field. Each of his work describe his idea about the world, or express what's going on in his head. He is really an expert in using contrast color and press light.
As you can see clearly, the first picture is about an angel with blood on her dress. Angels can sometimes make mistakes and so do mankind. 3nd pic: That guys sitting alone in a valley of death. Is he the only one who survive? There are lights at the end of the road, but can he gets enough strength or will to carry on?

These pixs I've taken from http://www.metacafe.com. It's really cute and funny. In the second pix, that yellow duck is trying to follow his brothers, but looks like he is deserted, alone. In the 3rd pix, that frog is hanging on a flower with just one hand ;) Is he trying to show off his strength, no one know ^_^ In the 4rd pix, that cat looks like an artist when smelling a flower =) I love his face alot; it's a combination between enjoy and vain. The last pix: A cock is beind chased by a lot of duck. Is he doing something wrong with all those hens =))
